Visa Requirements for MIXING18
Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area. Delegates from outside the UK, EU, or EEA may need a visa to attend MIXING18. Check your eligibility and read the full guidance here: Ireland Visa Information.
Visa Type
Apply for a Short-Stay "C" Conference/Event Visa.
What You'll Need
- Purpose: Proof you're attending MIXING18 for academic or business reasons.
- Funds: Recent bank statement or a letter from a sponsor/organiser covering costs.
- Invitation Letter: Issued by MIXING18 confirming your participation and any covered costs.
- Travel & Stay: Accommodation proof and valid travel insurance.
- Passport & Photos: Passport valid at least 6 months beyond your stay, plus 2 passport-style photos.
How to Apply
- Apply online via AVATS at least 3 months before travel.
- Select Short Stay (C) → Conference/Event.
- Submit your signed application summary, required documents, and pay the fee (approx. €60 for single entry).
Important: There's no fixed minimum funds required, but border officers decide if they're sufficient. A visa does not guarantee entry - final approval is at border control.
Getting Your MIXING18 Invitation Letter
- Log in to mixing18.dryfta.com.
- Click your name (top right) → My Profile.
- Click Generate Visa Letter and download the PDF.
Note: You must complete your registration and payment before the letter can be generated. Apply early to allow enough processing time.
